WHAT ARE EMDR INTENSIVES?

EMDR Intensives are extended therapy sessions offered in half-day, full-day, or multi-day formats. Unlike traditional 50-minute sessions, intensives allow for uninterrupted therapeutic time, helping clients stay engaged in the healing process without constantly stopping and restarting each week.

This focused structure can help create deeper emotional processing, stronger therapeutic momentum, and meaningful progress in a shorter period of time.

Many clients choose intensives because they:

  • Feel emotionally “stuck” in traditional therapy

  • Want a more focused and accelerated treatment approach

  • Have demanding schedules with limited weekly availability

  • Are preparing for or recovering from a major life event

  • Want dedicated support for trauma, anxiety, or distressing experiences

  • Desire a private, personalized, and immersive healing experience

Each intensive is thoughtfully customized to meet your unique needs, goals, history, and emotional capacity.

Man Relaxing on Beach

“Many people spend years in traditional weekly therapy trying to work through trauma one hour at a time while still carrying anxiety, emotional exhaustion, panic, shame, or unresolved experiences into their everyday lives between sessions. EMDR Intensives create a more focused and immersive healing experience by giving individuals dedicated, uninterrupted time to fully engage in the therapeutic process with greater continuity, momentum, and support. Instead of stretching treatment across months or years, intensives allow people to process deeper emotional material in a shorter period of time and often experience meaningful breakthroughs that may feel difficult to reach within traditional therapy formats. For many individuals, it becomes more than therapy. It becomes a turning point in their healing journey.

I understand that every person's story is different, and I believe your therapy experience should reflect that. My role is not to tell you who you should become, but to help you reconnect with the strength, resilience, and confidence that may have been overshadowed by painful experiences. Throughout the intensive, I provide a compassionate, structured, and supportive environment where you can feel safe enough to do the work while knowing you won't have to do it alone. It is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they gain insight, process difficult experiences, and discover that healing is possible. My hope is that you leave feeling lighter, more empowered, and better equipped to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and hope for the future."

WHAT IS EMDR THERAPY?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps the brain and nervous system process experiences that have become emotionally overwhelming or remain unresolved. When distressing experiences are not fully processed, they can continue influencing the way you think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed. This may appear as anxiety, panic, intrusive memories, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, negative self-beliefs, relationship difficulties, or feeling constantly on edge without fully understanding why. Rather than viewing these reactions as personal weaknesses, EMDR recognizes them as signs that the brain has not yet had the opportunity to fully process what happened.

EMDR therapy helps the brain reorganize and integrate these experiences so they no longer trigger the same emotional intensity or automatic stress response. Through a structured, evidence-based process, distressing memories become less overwhelming, allowing you to respond to present-day situations with greater emotional flexibility and confidence. As the brain processes these experiences in a healthier way, many individuals notice improvements in emotional regulation, self-awareness, relationships, decision-making, and overall quality of life. Instead of feeling controlled by the past, EMDR helps create opportunities to experience the present with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional freedom.

Accelerated Trauma Treatment Through EMDR Intensives

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF AN INTENSIVE

Traditional weekly therapy can be highly effective, but healing from trauma and other emotionally distressing experiences often takes place in small increments over time. Between appointments, the responsibilities of work, family, and everyday life can interrupt the therapeutic process, making it more difficult to maintain momentum and fully engage in deeper emotional work. An EMDR Intensive is designed differently. By dedicating one to three consecutive days to treatment, you have the opportunity to remain focused on your healing without the interruptions of weekly scheduling. This concentrated format allows for greater continuity, deeper therapeutic engagement, and the time needed to process experiences more thoroughly within a structured, supportive environment.

An EMDR Intensive is also an investment in both your time and your emotional wellbeing. At an average private-pay rate of approximately $125 to $150 per session, weekly EMDR therapy can total $6,000 to $8,000 or more over the course of a year, depending on the frequency and duration of treatment. While every individual's healing journey is unique, many people choose an intensive because it allows them to dedicate focused time to their recovery without extending treatment across months or years. Whether you have a demanding schedule, are traveling for specialized care, have limited availability, or simply want a more immersive therapeutic experience, an EMDR Intensive offers an efficient, personalized approach designed to maximize your time with your therapist while providing the support needed to move your healing forward.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS

Imagine waking up without feeling like your past is influencing every part of your present. Imagine responding to everyday situations with greater calm instead of constant fear, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion. For many people, the greatest benefit of an EMDR Intensive is not simply processing traumatic memories. It is the opportunity to experience life with greater emotional freedom, confidence, and connection. As emotional distress begins to decrease, many individuals find they have more energy to invest in their relationships, careers, personal goals, and the activities that bring purpose and fulfillment to their lives.

An EMDR Intensive is designed to help you move beyond managing symptoms and begin addressing the underlying experiences that continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and nervous system. As treatment progresses, many individuals report feeling less emotionally reactive, more present in their daily lives, and better equipped to manage stress, communicate more effectively, establish healthy boundaries, and respond to challenges with greater confidence. Rather than feeling controlled by the past, they begin making decisions based on where they want to go and the life they want to create.

Whether you are seeking relief from trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship wounds, panic symptoms, or other emotionally distressing experiences, an EMDR Intensive provides dedicated time to focus on your healing and overall wellbeing. If you are ready to stop feeling defined by your past and begin building a healthier future, an EMDR Intensive can provide the structure, clinical support, and focused therapeutic experience to help you move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and hope.

1-Day EMDR Intensive

4–6 Hours | $1,800

The 1-Day EMDR Intensive is designed for individuals seeking focused, evidence-based treatment for a single traumatic event, recent distressing experience, or one clearly defined treatment goal. This format provides dedicated therapeutic time to address a specific area of concern without the interruptions of traditional weekly therapy, allowing you to remain engaged in the healing process from beginning to end. For many individuals, this focused approach creates the opportunity to gain greater insight, reduce emotional distress, and begin moving forward with increased confidence and clarity.

This intensive is often appropriate when symptoms can be traced to one primary event rather than multiple or complex traumatic experiences. Examples may include a motor vehicle accident, medical trauma, a workplace incident, a distressing loss, relationship betrayal, a panic-inducing event, or another isolated experience that continues to affect daily life. During the intensive, treatment is tailored to your individual history, current symptoms, emotional readiness, and therapeutic goals, ensuring the experience is both clinically appropriate and personalized to your needs.

The 1-Day EMDR Intensive is ideal for individuals who are ready to address a specific concern while developing practical tools that support continued progress beyond the intensive. If your history suggests that additional therapeutic time would provide greater clinical benefit, a two-day or three-day EMDR Intensive may be recommended. The goal is to ensure you receive the level of care that best supports your unique experiences and treatment objectives.

If you're ready to stop feeling held back by a specific traumatic experience and begin moving toward greater emotional freedom, a 1-Day EMDR Intensive can provide the focused time, clinical expertise, and personalized support to help you take that next step with confidence.

2-Day EMDR Intensive

4–5 Hours Each Day | $2,700

The 2-Day EMDR Intensive is designed for individuals who need additional therapeutic time to address multiple distressing experiences, recurring emotional patterns, or treatment goals that require a more comprehensive approach than can typically be accomplished in a single day. Spanning two consecutive days, this format allows for greater continuity throughout the therapeutic process while providing dedicated time to explore, process, and integrate your work in a structured and supportive environment. The extended format also creates opportunities to build on progress from one session to the next while maintaining therapeutic momentum.

This intensive is often appropriate for individuals experiencing anxiety, panic symptoms, relationship wounds, grief, betrayal, medical trauma, chronic stress, or recurring emotional triggers that continue to interfere with daily life. It is also well suited for those who recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, or relationships that have been difficult to change despite previous therapy or personal efforts. Every EMDR Intensive is individualized to your clinical history, current symptoms, emotional readiness, and treatment goals, ensuring your care is tailored to your unique needs rather than following a standardized treatment approach.

The additional therapeutic time provided in a 2-Day EMDR Intensive allows for a more comprehensive treatment experience while supporting emotional regulation, therapeutic integration, and continued progress throughout the process. If your clinical history indicates that a more extensive level of treatment would better support your goals, a 3-Day EMDR Intensive may be recommended to provide additional time for deeper therapeutic work.

If you're ready to move beyond recurring emotional patterns and create healthier ways of responding to life's challenges, a 2-Day EMDR Intensive provides the focused time, clinical support, and personalized care to help you continue moving forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom.

The 3-Day EMDR Intensive is our most comprehensive accelerated trauma treatment option. It is designed for individuals with complex trauma, childhood trauma, attachment wounds, multiple traumatic experiences, or long-standing emotional patterns that have developed over time. These experiences often affect many areas of life, including relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, decision-making, and the ability to feel safe, connected, or fully present. The three-day format provides the additional therapeutic time needed to approach treatment with greater depth, flexibility, and clinical precision while allowing the healing process to unfold at a pace that supports both emotional safety and therapeutic effectiveness.

This intensive is well suited for individuals who have experienced ongoing or repeated trauma, significant life adversity, or emotional experiences that continue to influence their daily lives despite previous therapy or personal efforts. Many clients seeking a 3-Day Intensive report feeling stuck in recurring emotional patterns, negative self-beliefs, chronic anxiety, hypervigilance, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense of emotional overwhelm. Every EMDR Intensive is carefully individualized to your clinical history, current symptoms, emotional readiness, and treatment goals, ensuring your care reflects your unique experiences and supports the work that is most important to your healing.

The additional therapeutic time offered through a 3-Day EMDR Intensive allows for a more comprehensive treatment experience while supporting preparation, trauma processing, emotional regulation, and therapeutic integration throughout each stage of care. This format provides the opportunity to work through more complex clinical concerns without feeling rushed, while allowing time to strengthen practical coping strategies and reinforce progress before completing the intensive.

If you're ready to address the experiences that have shaped your life for years, a 3-Day EMDR Intensive provides the dedicated time, clinical expertise, and individualized support to help you move beyond survival and begin creating a healthier, more connected future.

comprehensive, individualized trauma treatment

Every EMDR Intensive is thoughtfully designed around your unique history, symptoms, treatment goals, and emotional readiness. No two people experience trauma the same way, which is why every intensive is individualized to meet your specific needs rather than following a standardized treatment plan. Throughout the process, your therapist continuously assesses your progress, provides clinical guidance, and adjusts treatment as needed to support emotional stability, effective trauma processing, and steady therapeutic progress. The goal is to create an experience that feels structured, supportive, and clinically appropriate while helping you remain engaged in the healing process from beginning to end.

EMDR Intensives provide more than trauma reprocessing alone. They integrate evidence-based interventions that strengthen emotional regulation, improve nervous system regulation, increase self-awareness, identify patterns that continue to influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical tools for navigating everyday life. Treatment also focuses on building resilience, strengthening healthy coping strategies, reinforcing positive beliefs, and helping you apply the progress made during your intensive to life beyond the therapy room. By combining these clinical components into one comprehensive treatment experience, EMDR Intensives provide a well-rounded approach that supports both immediate progress and continued healing.

HOW DO PAYMENTS AND SCHEDULING WORK

We understand that committing to an EMDR Intensive is an important decision, and our goal is to make the scheduling process as clear and straightforward as possible. Once you've completed your complimentary consultation and the appropriate intensive has been recommended, we'll work with you to select dates that best support your treatment goals and schedule. Because EMDR Intensives require extended appointment times, individualized treatment planning, and dedicated clinical preparation, appointments are scheduled in advance and availability is limited.

To reserve your intensive, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of scheduling. The remaining balance is due before the first day of your intensive. After your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive detailed information outlining the next steps, including intake forms, consent documents, preparation recommendations, payment instructions, and everything needed to help you feel informed and prepared before treatment begins.

Our goal is to create a smooth and well-organized experience from your first consultation through the completion of your intensive. By taking care of the scheduling details ahead of time, you can arrive focused on what matters most: dedicating uninterrupted time to your healing, your resolution, and your closure.
